Delta State Governor, Rt. Hon. Sheriff Oborevwori, has congratulated the Obi of Owa Kingdom, His Royal Majesty, Dr. Emmanuel Efeizomor II, OON, on the occasion of his 67th coronation anniversary.

Governor Oborevwori described the long-serving traditional ruler as an accomplished custodian of the Owa traditional institution whose reign has been marked by peace, stability, unity and development.

The Governor’s goodwill message was contained in a statement issued by his Chief Press Secretary, Sir Festus Ahon.

Oborevwori Hails Owa Monarch’s Contributions to Delta

Oborevwori commended the Owa monarch for his sustained commitment to the unity and progress of Owa Kingdom and his contributions to the development of Delta State.

He particularly praised the monarch for promoting peaceful coexistence among communities and maintaining a constructive relationship with successive administrations in the state in the interest of the people.

According to the Governor, the monarch’s leadership over the years has contributed significantly to stability within the kingdom and strengthened the role of traditional institutions in supporting development.

Governor Recalls Monarch’s Role as Traditional Rulers’ Council Chairman

Governor Oborevwori also recalled Dr. Efeizomor II’s tenure as Chairman of the Delta State Council of Traditional Rulers, noting that his wealth of experience, wisdom and counsel helped strengthen the relationship between traditional institutions and government.

He expressed appreciation for the monarch’s enduring service to his people and prayed for continued good health, wisdom and strength for the revered traditional ruler.

“This milestone is a testament to your enduring service and exemplary leadership. I pray that God Almighty will continue to grant you good health, strength and many more years of purposeful reign.”

Governor Urges Owa People to Support Monarch

The Governor urged the people of Owa Kingdom to continue to honour and support the monarch while preserving the kingdom’s rich cultural heritage.

He also called for collective efforts towards building a more prosperous future for Owa Kingdom and Delta State.

The 67th coronation anniversary marks a significant milestone in the reign of Obi Emmanuel Efeizomor II, whose decades on the throne have made him one of the prominent traditional rulers in Delta State.
