UPU Youth Wing Suspends Member Over Alleged Gross Indiscipline
The Urhobo Progress Union (UPU) Youth Wing Worldwide has announced the suspension of one of its members, Efekimor Palma, over allegations of gross indiscipline and conduct unbecoming of the organization.
In an official letter dated December 30, 2025, and signed by the President of the UPU Youth Wing Worldwide, Blessed Oghenero Ughere, the leadership said the suspension takes immediate effect following what it described as repeated violations of the union’s principles, values, and code of conduct.
According to the statement, the decision was reached after Palma’s actions were found to undermine discipline, unity, peace, and the orderly administration of the youth wing, despite several efforts by the leadership to maintain internal harmony.
“Your actions and behavior have been found to be in clear violation of the principles, values, and code of conduct guiding the UPU Youth Wing Worldwide,” the letter stated.
The suspension bars the affected member from all activities, meetings, representations, and privileges of the UPU Youth Wing Worldwide pending further investigation and possible disciplinary action. The leadership also cautioned the suspended member against parading himself in any capacity as a member or representative of the organization during the suspension period.
The UPU Youth Wing emphasized that the move was taken in the best interest of the union, stressing that discipline and unity remain core values of the Urhobo socio-cultural organization.
“The decision is taken to maintain discipline and unity among members,” the statement added.
The UPU Youth Wing Worldwide, the youth arm of the Urhobo Progress Union, plays a key role in mobilizing young people across Urhobo land and in the diaspora, promoting cultural identity, unity, and development among Urhobo youths globally.
As of the time of filing this report, efforts to obtain response from the suspended member regarding the allegations or the decision of the UPU Youth Wing leadership yielded no results.
