Revenue Cttee Appointment: Ogharefe Oguedion Congratulates Omoko, commend Onogba

The Council of Chiefs in Ogharefe otherwise known as the Oguedion has felicitated with one of their illustrious son, Mr. Nicholas Omoko over his appointment as the revenue committee Chairman on Oghara trailer Parks, just as they lauded the executive Chairman of Ethiope West LGA, Hon. Chris Onogba for finding one of their worthy sons for that appointment.
Chief Stephen Egbivwie, the Unugbrogodo of Ogharefe-Oghara.
The Oguedion made the remarks through the Unugbrogodo of Ogharefe, Chief Stephen Egbivwie at the weekend while speaking with our reporter in his residence, described Omoko has their worthy son, whom has never failed in any assignment given to him in the past, hinted that Omoko’s appointment judging from his vast experience would no doubt yield revenue boast to the Council’s IGR.
Chief Egbivwie who also spoke on the trailer Park along the East-west express road jointly owed by the Ogharefe Oguedion and Edjemuoyavwe community, advised the Council Chairman to exclude the trailer Park from the scope of his revenue committee recently constituted pending when both parties agreed on mode of revenue collection by the Local government recommittee.
“Edjemuoyavwe community and Oguedion jointly owed that trailer Park not Local government but we cannot also deprive the Local government or its agents from collecting revenue in the Park.”
“But what we will not take is when the Local government is laying claim to the ownership of the Park, we will resistthat with our last blood.”
He pointed that the trailer Park was built by the Oguedion and Edjemuoyavwe community with the view of generating revenue for themselves but that they can not deprive the Local government from collecting revenue, as it’s the Council’s constitutional right as enshrined in the fourth schedule of the Nigeria constitution.
Our reporter findings revealed that the said trailer Park in contention is just 18.6% of the entire scope of what the trailer Parks revenue committee would oversee.
