How Oborevwori aide, Kelly Erhivwode marriage crippled Oghara

Oghara Township is a fast growing into a cosmopolitan city of its own, right from time, the city has been known for their surprises. It appears to be investment destination for businessmen and women from various tribes, as the name connotes ‘Oghara’, a name that is synonymous with sharing of good deeds with obvious hospitable, habitable for occupants irrespective of tribe and religion.
Oghara no doubt has blessed so many strangers, non-indigenes alike, a development where almost all major business mails cum plazas in the town are predominantly owned by non-indigenes, an obvious stance that Oghara in indeed doing according to her name of blessing all and sundries.
Oghara can also be said to be a political fertile ground for politicians, which produced the first executive governor of Delta State, Chief James Ibori, whom no doubt birthed so many politicians since the birth of democratic governance.
Not to digress, one would take the marriage reception of the Oghara born prominent youth leader cum Governor Sheriff Oborevwori’s Senior Special Assistant on Transport, Engr. Kelly Erhivwode for a political gathering with personalities from far and wide that graced the occasion on notice of the marriage of the Ovade born engineer.
Barely, two weeks to the date, When the groom sent out invitations and text messages, to his greatest surprise, more than two third of those that received the invitation indicated interest of attendance even those that never got official invitation. His first shocker would be from his political godfather, Hon. Ben Igbakpa who assured me of his full involvement in the preparations to the success of the day, no doubt he did more than expected as I was reliably told that he call from time to time to know the extent the intending couple have gone with preparations. At the reception, Hon. Ben Igbakpa noticed seated comfortable almost to the end of the occasion, very unlike him. Kelly you big for Oga hand sha. Perhaps it’s because of the papa and pikin relationship.
The Hon. Lawrence Egodotaire expansive open field, was filled to brim yet family members, crème de la crème in the society were still trooping into the mighty marriage reception that was about to happen. The procession of the couple was like royal procession associated with the British Monarchs. The traditional attire of the groom was well packaged; shoes ordered from abroad.
The bride beautifully dressed with C’green attire matched with orange bag, hair-tie and shoe all foreign has become the talk of the town amid her aseobi girls elegantly cute up left some marriageable male singles wanting to take any of aseobis to the alter same day if they were rich and privileged as the groom.
Before arrival of the couple at the reception, friends, well-wishers and who is who in the political circle, palace Chiefs, including the wife of Oghara monarch, HRM Queen (mgtr) Iyobosa Eshemitan, the Unugbrogodo of Ogharefe, Chief Stephen Egbivwie, the Iyasere of Itsekeri, Prince Johnson among others were already seated while others were still trooping in, dignitaries were treated to reception with all kind of delicious meals, assorted drinks and wines, the marriage reception would be taken for political gathering with the fleet of cars parked around the premises.
The epoch making event crippled commercial and vehicular activities in Oghara, where everybody were seen trooping to the reception ground to catch the grisp, considering the caliber of personalities that came to felicitates with the couple.
The event almost turned into a political gathering/campaign as Hon. Ben Igbakpa, Chris Onogba ( Ethiope west Council Chairman), Hon. Felix Ejimiyoma(Leader, Ethiope legislative arm), Hon. Godwin Akpovie (MD, Delta free trade zone), Hon. Owoso (immediate past Council boss), Hon. Achoja (Ethiope west member, DSHA) among others stormed the venue.
The Master of Ceremony (MC LOWAIST) and orators including our very own ‘educated orator’ that anchored the occasion all went home smiling as personalities that graced the occasion blessed them to the fullest. For many years to come, this marriage will continue to be the latest gist in town.
Kelly Erhivwode, na man you be joor.
