Represented by the Commissioner for Higher Education, Prof. Nyerhovwo Tonukari, Oborevwori said his government will continue to support platforms that celebrate creativity, scholarship and national growth. He spoke on Wednesday at the public presentation of Hallmarks of Labour, authored by Izoma Philip Chikwuendo Asiodu, held at the Metropolitan Club, Victoria Island, Lagos.

The governor noted that literature remains a powerful tool for shaping societal values and inspiring future generations, adding that Delta State is pleased to identify with initiatives that honour significant contributions to nation-building through the written word. Tonukari also hailed Asiodu for his distinguished contributions to Nigerian literary and intellectual development, describing the book as a reflection of integrity, hard work and dedication.

The event attracted prominent Nigerians, including former Head of State, General Yakubu Gowon (rtd.), who chaired the occasion. Speakers at the ceremony examined the themes of the book and underscored the importance of values-driven leadership in achieving national progress.
