Oborevwori Felicitates Olu of Warri at 42, Congratulates Ohworode of Olomu on New Appointment

Delta State Governor, Sheriff Oborevwori, has extended warm felicitations to the Olu of Warri Kingdom, Ogiame Atuwatse III, on the occasion of his 42nd birth anniversary celebrated on April 2, 2026.

In a statement issued in Asaba by his Chief Press Secretary, Festus Ahon, the governor commended the revered monarch for his unwavering commitment to promoting harmony and stimulating economic growth in the Warri Kingdom since his ascension to the throne.

Governor Oborevwori noted that the reign of the Olu of Warri has brought remarkable transformation to the kingdom, describing his conduct as admirable. He emphasized that the monarch’s sense of dignity and dedication to duty have continued to elevate the status of the traditional institution.

“On behalf of my family, the government and the good people of Delta State, I heartily celebrate Your Majesty, Ogiame Atuwatse III, CFR, as you mark your 42nd birth anniversary,” the governor said, adding that the monarch’s reign has been impactful, driven by integrity, vision, and a strong passion for unity and progress among his people.

He also prayed for God’s continued guidance, wisdom, and good health for the monarch as he continues to lead his people and contribute to the development of Delta State.

In a related development, Governor Oborevwori congratulated the Ohworode of Olomu Kingdom, Albert Akpomudje, on his emergence as the 54th Chairman of the Body of Benchers.

The governor described the appointment as a moment of honour for Delta State, noting that Deltans are proud of the recognition accorded the respected traditional ruler and legal luminary.

“On behalf of my family, the government and the good people of Delta State, I heartily congratulate His Majesty, Albert Akpomudje, SAN, FCIArb, Eyavwie-Alaka I, on his emergence as Chairman of the Body of Benchers,” he stated.

Governor Oborevwori commended the monarch’s distinguished legal career and expressed confidence that his wealth of experience would further strengthen the integrity and standards of Nigeria’s legal system.

Albert Akpomudje succeeds Olukayode Ariwoola as Chairman of the Body of Benchers, the apex regulatory institution for the legal profession in Nigeria, established under the Legal Practitioners Act.

Akpomudje, a seasoned legal practitioner and the 14th Ohworode of Olomu Kingdom, was crowned on November 15, 2025. His emergence has been widely regarded as a testament to his professional excellence and leadership capacity.
