NGO Establishes Environmental Clubs in Delta Schools

A Non-Governmental Organization (NGO), Clean Ecosystem Foundation has launched its initiatives by establishing environmental change agents (Environmental Clubs) in secondary schools across Delta State.



 

The foundation’s mission according to the converner was to champion a greener future, one community at a time, by creating a world where every community can thrive in a clean, safe, and sustainable environment.

Through education, mobilization, and direct action, the NGO aims to empower individuals and organizations to join hands in tackling climate change and combating environmental challenges.

The establishment of Environmental Clubs in Delta schools is a crucial step towards achieving the NGO’s mission, as it will inspire and educate the next generation to become environmental ambassadors.

According to Comr. Timothy Ogheneovo Emorhakpor, Director of Programs, hinted that lack of implementation of environmental policies and laws has led to environmental catastrophes such as climate change, ozone layer depletion, and loss of invasive species.

Stressed that the initiative would encourage young people to become environmental ambassadors, just as he said that their NGO intend to create vast awareness and inspire young ones to lead lifestyles that are harmonious with the environment.

The first Environmental Club was established at Master Care International School in Asaba, with plans to expand to Government College, Ughelli, and Beach Secondary School, Koko, in the coming weeks.

The Clean Ecosystem Foundation invites individuals to join the noble course, working together towards a sustainable future for all.
