Isoko Professional Association Donates 24 Marker Boards, Others To Schools In Delta

As part of efforts to promote Basic Education and Literacy among young people, The Isoko Professional Association (TPA), has donated twenty-four (24) White Marker Boards, packs of marker pen and dusters to six (6) public schools across Isoko North and South Local Government Area of Delta state.

President of the association, which made up of Isoko noble sons with likes minds in various fields of endeavors, Sir Benson Onome Anaro, said the donation, was parts of the activities to marked 15th years anniversary of The Isoko Professional Association, became necessary following lack of writing Boards in some public schools in the area.

He said the white marker boards as well as presentation of Marker pen and dusters to Principals of Aradhe Grammar School, Otor-Iyede Grammar School in Isoko North, Aviara Secondary Commercial School, and Emede Grammar School, in Isoko South Local Governments Area, was in line with vision and mission of The Isoko Professional Association, to become the most outstanding global body of professionals to turnaround suppressed ethnic nationality into a developed modern economy with people of dignity.

In his welcome address, in the event which was held at James Ekpre Otobo Hall, Isoko South Local Government Council, Sir Benson Onome Anaro said that, “It give me great pleasure to welcome you all to this unique occasion of the celebration of the 15th anniversary of The Isoko Professionals Association. You will all agree with me that 15 years is no joke. We see it as a time for sober reflection.

“The association was born at a period of our national life where the word “hope” had almost entirely lost its meaning. The Association therefore could not have come at a better time. As members of The Isoko Professionals Association, we have just one overriding objective, the emancipation of Isoko Nation.

“It is no news that the Isoko nation is a minority within the Minority of the political entity called Nigeria. Consequently, the Isoko indigene is an endangered species by default. These are plain realities gazing boldly at every Isoko girl, boy child, every Isoko youth, every Isoko adult male and female, every Isoko employees, every Isoko entrepreneur, every Isoko politician. Obviously, no one is exempted.”

Anaro further added that, “The theme for our 15th years anniversary is therefore carefully selected for us to gather in our own native soil, to reflect as a people on our many and various challenges and chart a progressive and sustainable way forward.”

The Chairman of the event, Prof Samuel Aghalino and Patron of the Association, Chief Paul John Odhomor, in their separate remarks, commended members of TPA over their kind gestures and humanitarian services rendered towards the growth and development of education in Isoko Nation.

While High Chief Enahoro Eta, the Iyasere of Oyede kingdom, who was given an award for his outstanding global humanitarian services and passion for the development of Isoko Nation, expressed satisfaction to members of The Isoko Professionals Association for their quest and ideologies towards educational development in Isoko Nation and urge them to expand their membership strength and be not deterred in their quest for the development of Isoko Nation.

Highlights of the event, was award given to outstanding Isoko sons and daughters in recognition of their immense contribution to humanity across Isoko nation as well as development of Isoko Nation.

While Prof Uwomano Benjamin Okpevra delivered a lecture on “Isoko: Shaking off old barriers; innovating for greater capacity.
