Insecurity responsible for lack of food security in Nigeria says Odedede

Worried by the scarcity of food in the country, a prominent youth leader in Delta State, Comrade Augustine Odedede has attributed the problem to insecurity in the Nigeria Delta region.
Odedede gave the assertion while addressing journalists on the immediate remote of food scarcity in the nation recently at Ughelli the administrative headquarters of Ughelli North local government of Delta State on food scarcity.
According to him, the prevailing insecurity that marred the Niger Delta region was occasioned by the influx of herdsmen and was the bane of food shortage in the country.
While calling on the state and federal government to come to the aid of the farmers in the region, he appealed to the relevant authority, to remove the Herdsmen from the farmer’s farmlands.
According to him, farmers in the region are denied access to their farmland because of the activities of the herders who moles women, and girls and kill their husbands.
While commanding the Delta State police command and her sister’s security agencies in the state, he specifically commends the Delta State Commandant of the Vigilante Group of Nigeria Delta State chapter, Comrade Monday Ohwesiri for the roles he played in the recovery of the corpse of the fallen gallant policemen who were arm bushed by suspected herdsmen in Agadama/Ughweru bush in Ughelli north local government area of Delta State.
