Delta State governor, Sheriff Oborevwori would dissolve his cabinet next week if the information as our disposal is anything to go by.

Credible sources disclosed this to our reporter in Asaba, noted that the governor perfected all arrangements to axe out some of his appointees and bring in new ones for inclusiveness arising from his recent defections from the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) to the All Progressives Congress (APC) which was greeted with mixed feelings.

According our sources who pleaded not to be on print because he was not authorized to do so hinted that the cabinet reshuffle may affect Special Assistants (SAs), Senior Special Assistants (SSAs), Personal Assistants (PAs), and Executive Assistants to the Governor, commissioners, SSG and many more government appointees, except those on statutory agencies and departments.

Our reporter reliably gathered that the current commissioner of rural roads and public information, Mr. Charles Aniagwu maybe retained as Information Commissioner, but civil servants in that ministry are currently groaning over possible return of Aniagwu, stressing that the governor should look towards Delta Central.

Another sources also told our reporters that the SSG, Mr. Kingsley Emu, Chief of Staff, Government House, Johnson Erijo, Principal Secretary, Lina Ochulor, DoP, Sunday Onoriode may forfeit their officers while some maybe given other responsibilities.

Insiders close to the Government House have revealed that discussions regarding new appointments are already underway, particularly within the three senatorial districts, which is aimed at accommodating the old APC members

In Delta North, a potential leadership dispute has emerged, with some members of the old APC asserting Senator Ned Nwoko’s leadership over that of the immediate past Governor.

These sources also emphasized the importance of inclusive stakeholder representation in the upcoming appointments, aiming to mitigate undue influence from any particular group.

In Delta Central, in the insider sources said the governor, Sheriff Oborevwori would be in full control of his senatorial district but may carry Mr. Ovie Omoagege along as pleaded by Nigerian Vice President, Shettima by giving part of his local government to him if he didn’t defect as being peddled. On whether the governor would allow former governor James Ibori to nominate people for appointment, one of the insider sources said the governor may entertain nominees from the former governor because the respect he have for him.

The sources noted further that -Dr. Emmanuel Uduaghan, Send James Manager, the House of Assembly Speaker, Guwor, Micheal Diden, Kingsley Otuaro, Government Ekpemuokpolo, Ovuzeraye Maculey would be incharge of Delta South senatorial district.
