Gov. Fubara Appoints New Attorney-General
The Governor of Rivers State, Sir Siminalayi Fubara, has announced a minor cabinet reshuffle aimed at optimizing the state’s executive performance.
This was contained in a statement released Tuesday by Dr. Honour Sirawoo, Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Information and Communications.
It confirmed that Barrister Christopher Green has been redeployed, who was formerly the Commissioner for Sports.
Now, Barrister Green will take over the Ministry of Justice as the Honourable Attorney General and Commissioner for Justice.
Notably, Barrister Green will continue to coordinate the activities of the Ministry of Sports in an interim capacity until a substantive Commissioner is appointed.
The redeployment takes immediate effect.
It was approved during the final State Executive Council meeting of 2025.
The move reflects Governor Fubara’s ongoing commitment to strengthening governance and ensuring seamless service delivery across key ministries.
