Delta Health Commissioner inaugurates Renal Centre in Delsuth, Oghara

Delta State Commissioner of Health, Dr. Mordi Ononyi on Wednesday commissioned renal center in Delta State University Teaching Hospital, Delsuth, Oghara.


The Commissioner represented by the Permanent Secretary, ministry of health, Dr. Philomena Okewo commended Delsuth Chief Medical Director, Prof. Nekwu Emmanuel Okolugbo for his developmental foresight in the hospital.

Earlier, while addressing the representative of the Health Commissioner, Chief Medical Director of Delta State University Teaching Hospital, Delsuth, Oghara, Prof. Okolugbo said that upon assumption of office in December 5, 2022, rolled out his developmental plans, hinted that within the time under review he has resuscitated moribund X-ray services, Dialysis services and endoscopy services.

Okolugbo also told the commissioner that part of the left over from the renal transplant program was used to renovate renal centre which was commissioned by the commissioner today, stressed that new water treatment unit, three brand new fresinus dialysis machine, repair of two existing water treatment plants and repair of old dialysis machines were also done with the renal transplant leftover.

The Delsuth boss also commended Gov. Ifeanyi Okowa over his swift response to some of his memos to him, especially the recent approval to employ new nurses into hospital; averred that the hospital IGR has increased drastically, assured of more developmental strides through out his stay at the helms of affairs of the State owned Teaching Hospital.
